Bhunte knew that all beings in the forest and beyond have a right to live. That no one should harm others for their benefits. Bhunte too heard of an anecdote about an elephant somewhere in some camp. This elephant was used to install the wooden poles for the fence; she was carrying the huge wooden poles and was carefully inserting into the holes dug in the ground. Unanticipatedly, she refused to keep the wooden pole in one of the holes. She was forced- but still, she insisted and denied. She did not move further. After beholding her sudden-and-strange behavior, her mahout went close and observed, he found that there was a dog sleeping in that hole. She could have dropped the wooden pole in it- but she did not do. Elephants are known for their compassion towards others- they care and even rescue other trapped-in-trouble animals. Bhunte was so overwhelmed to hear about this. He thought- when he will grow old, he will definitely save many lives in his forest…
