Bhunte’s family got the bereaving news. Their distant relatives lost their grandmother- Kalimaya- 69 years old matriarch. Bhunte and his herd went to console their relatives. Bhunte’s mom sniffed the corpse of Kalimaya. She mourned her death. All the members did. Everyone was bereaved to see her dead. Kalimaya had an immense experience and knowledge about the routes, food, and water. Unfortunately, Kalimaya suffered from the intense intestinal infection- due to the shortage of water during this extreme dry season. She got exposed to parasites and could not defend against it. This was a huge loss to Kalimaya’s herd. Well, elephants do mourn the death of their relatives and families. Yet, we trouble them…
