Bhunte and his herd took a long seasonal trip to their neighbouring forests. It was really tough for them to cross the human settlements where they were often intervened by shouting crowds with fire torches. Bhunte was extremely scared. He never wants again to be out of his home. When they finally reached their destination, they were further shattered…Bhunte heard from his uncle, Ramnarayan- who has been raiding crops at the vicinity of this forest- that they (humans) long ago banned the use of a sharp metallic object (an iron hook) to train Bhunte’s relatives (who are captive). However, they saw that they (humans) have replaced that with a wooden hook! Which is indeed painful again!

Furthermore, they were devastated to see his captive relatives used for something called “Elephant festival” where humans (tourists*) from different countries came to enjoy beholding elephants performing unnatural stuffs! Bhunte was shocked to observe his captive brother, Hari Makhna, pretending to be ‘playing’ and onlookers clapping and enjoying the show…Bhunte got scared.

Bhunte ran away from the site, never to return to this part of the world before they (humans) could sense his presence!
