When Bhunte was just a calf, he enjoyed the rain, hiding underneath his mother. Though the rain cleans and replenishes Bhunte’s abode, it can be challenging for newborn calves, especially when the river overflows. Bhunte remembers how he was nearly swept away by the Koshi River. He is grateful to his aunt, Lata, who swam across to rescue him and pulled him to safety by dragging his trunk. As he recollects his childhood memories, he recalls being scared of loud thunders.
